Fun with my Ruger New Vaquero .45 Colt.....

Post by fortyshooter » Tue Feb 26, 2019 6:05 pm

Got out to the range for the official reunion with my ol' NV .45 Colt.
This was my first six shooter that I had bought in 2009 and sold it about 3 yrs. ago. Finally had a chance to get it back and it's a
keeper!
Revolver was of the first year production,2005, on the smaller frame...the New Vaquero.
Really built well locks up tight and nice smooth hammer and trigger pull plus it hits where you point it IF you work that trigger pull right! :D

Nice reunion shooting! And fun to be "on the range" again....thanks for taking' us along. Watching you put those .45 Colt rounds out was enjoyable....thanks!

Me along most other Folk are looking forward to winter disappearing and getting in some range time, too. I do miss hearing those "clangs" --- last range "music" I heard seems like a long time ago. ;)

Thanks PT7 and happy to have you along for the shoot!
Today was the last of our two nice sunny 60 degree days and back to cold and wet weather again later this week.
Was indeed great to shoot my ol' gun again!

I had my Ruger Flattop .44 Special along too and he is following in the ol'Vaquero trail too!

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

He tried to fire 14. 7 each time. Actually fired 6 each time. Love the sound of that .45 shooting!

So glad you got your old friend back in the holster!
