Public Shoot Day at the Club today. I help as one of the RSOs.
It was slow enough that I was able to chrono a new 45-70 load.
17.4g Traiboss over 350 plated fn.
They clocked at an average of 1156 using the Magneto speed.
Right were I hoped. This will be my load for Lever Action Silhouette.
Another RSO brought out his LabRadar chronograph, pretty cool.
A young man and his mother came with his brand new Axis 270 rifle.
I helped him through sighing it in quick and easy then He used up all his expensive Cooper hunting bullets shooting the gongs and went home with a big smile.
I took a 4x scope I had on the H00TV and put it on my 336xlr 30-30.
One of the members spotted for me as I sighted it in. Had the 200 meter swinger going in just a few shots.
A good day.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

I highly recommend that you do not start shooting Lever Action Silhouette! It is very addictive, like shooting cans off a fence. Bang - clang and you want to shoot another one. Matches are strictly run - safety is paramount. You can use a .22lr in both small bore and pistol cartridge matches, but you'll quickly want a 2nd rifle then a 3rd...
