Tried out a couple new loads in the ole Rossi 357.
Shooting off the back porch, rested on the banister and same 45 yds.
First pic is 180 gr fn lead and 12.7 grs H 110

Next same target, put a stick in one hole so as to know it went with first group, I believe that one was me.
Same bullet and 10.7 grs 2400.
Looks like the clear winner is the H 110.

Just so ya know I was aiming at the bottom of the target in the first pic, I was expecting them to be high.
I have a Blue dot load that I shot with that bullet and it is high at 50 yds but dead on at a 100.

Beautiful day for end of December so we got out today with a good variety of shootin' iron!
A friend brought his new Marlin .44 mag to get the first shots thru it plus a couple revolvers and I brought my new Henry
along with three of my .45 ACP shooters.
My rifle shots on right target in center and Ruger Birdshead .45 ACP point and shoot shots from 8 yds around the head.

My last lead of the year. A brisk 12F at the range, with an east headwind blowing at about 20mph. Shooting straight into it today. I am out of splash targets so I had to check with my little binoculars once in a while to make sure I was not wasting lead. We are getting a pretty good dump of snow today on & off.

My 1860 Henry, 45 Colt. Ammunition was Fiocchi 250 gr LRNFP. Nice ammo for sure.
12 rounds only (1 mag tube full), 50 yds off hand standing. I purposely took only 12 rounds so I would have to cowboy up and just shoot. The target would be good, bad or ugly.
I am VERY happy with my results to wrap up 2018!...8 out of 12 in the 2" square, and 2 dead ringers. :D ...kind of cheating with binoculars it feels like to me though. Oh well. Kept one glove on holding the barrel not due to hot barrel but cold hand. Another reason I only took a few rounds, too darn cold to shoot!

And the funny part, I guess an outhouse is no match for the 100+ mph wind the other day...didn't check to see if anybody was in it.
