Love the guns and the shooting, forty shooter, not to mention the range setup. All very impressive.

Speaking of impressive, our own RR, gets my Mister Impressive nomination. Our weather isn't much better, but I've elected to work on some gun projects, indoors, and wait till the weather moderates, before risking frostbite on my trigger finger. :)

Haha, a 1500 lb mama cow with an attitude & a rope around her neck shortened my trigger finger a few years ago so the part that might get frostbite is long gone... :) Guess there was an upside after all.

.
I'm a wuss. I would not go out in 12'F weather to do anything, let alone drive to a range an shoot in it. My hat's off to you. :!:
RanchRoper wrote:My last lead of the year. A brisk 12F at the range, with an east headwind blowing at about 20mph. Shooting straight into it today. I am out of splash targets so I had to check with my little binoculars once in a while to make sure I was not wasting lead. We are getting a pretty good dump of snow today on & off.

Nice shooting RR!! Remind me to never side eye you! I also love the paper plates idea! I will certainly be stealing that idea!
Happy New year everyone!

No pics but I did take my BBB 357 out and blast some clay birds I had set up on a tree stump from around 35-40 yds right before sunset yesterday. Good times!

Ducked out quickly this afternoon near sunset to get my last lead of 2018 shot. 10 rounds. Did not bother to setup my shooting stand. Initially thought I could shoot from a standing stance. No way. Weaving all over. Went to a kneeling stance. Little better, still weaving. Shot the 10 anyway. Only 5 connected  Awesome rush shooting anyway :!: First time with Federal Fusion 150gr boat tail. Not like any other .30-30 round I've shot before :!: They do not sound like .30-30. They sound like a big ole naval round coming off a battle ship :!:

Closing the mag tube on reloading was smooth as silk. I had not even a hint of the inner mag tube getting stuck on case rims or the lever popping open. Will be taking a closer look at the Fusion cases comparing to ones shot previously to see if I can divine why the mag tube closed so smoothly with these.

5 inch platters on a shooting tree from 75 yds.
