BSA Hunter .222 rem .
I had a job for it, first time out of the safe in 10 years. Checked the zero with ammo as old as the gun that it really likes. A tweak to the right and it was ready to take a Fallow at a tourist park.Owner wanted low noise and head shot only.

Thanks, NCG! The rifle is definitely capable of great accuracy. It’s the operator that needs some work.

I had the opportunity to get out again today. My 11 year old daughter and I took the 22 rifles out for some fun. She has a Ruger 10/22 with stock iron sights and I brought our Golden Boy (also with stock iron sights). I also brought my 1984 Marlin 60 with a 3-9 power scope. I found out my scope walks backward along the rail after several shots. It had almost slipped off the rail before I moved it forward and tightened it again. Guess I’m going to have to replace the aluminum scope rings with some steel ones as it continued to move while I was firing. Oh well. We had a fun day at the range!

Shot some CCI Short HP with the Golden Boy at 15 yards. Not terrible for such a large front sight.

Thanks, NCG! Shooting is our special daddy/daughter time and we have a great time together. Here’s a link to her taking out some soda cans.

We forgot to put on the shooting glasses. We are more careful now.
