Re: Last Lead of 2018
I did manage a little last minute lead slinging yesterday.
First was offhand at 45 yds, didn't fair well, three outa six on paper notice the three holes high and right.
Then on one knee I did slightly better, can tell you this I ain't no RR. Then I moved to the bench and tried out a load,
180 gr fn and 10.8 grs 2400.
10 rds. @ 50 yds.
All shots were from a Rossi 92 357 24" SS barrel

That's decent group from the keeling position. I'm hoping to give that position more of a try, this upcoming shooting season. I think RR has started a trend, here.
Like that 180 grain load.

Re: Last Lead of 2018
I really like shooting from 1 knee. I can get on target pretty quick and it just feels stable. Off hand standing is ok, but I think if the crap hit the fan and I had to hit what I was aiming for; 1 knee position will get it done.

I have a great deal of respect for folks who are able to shoot so well from a kneeling position .. .. having on knee replaced and arthritis in the other, if anyone happens to see me in a kneeling position, please dial 9-1- ___ and just wait .. .. there's something bad happening or getting ready to happen ..RanchRoper wrote:I really like shooting from 1 knee. Re: Last Lead of 2018
no alarm intended .... with one knee replaced and arthritis in the other, not only is kneeling unpleasant, so is getting down there .... getting back up moves up the scale from unpleasant to it really gets my undivided attention ...markiver54 wrote:Whew!
