PT7 -- SGC, like a broken record...

Post by PT7 » Fri Nov 16, 2018 5:55 pm

...And flip the record over, you get the same 'ole words of the song: "The Henry SGC is such an accurate rifle, so smoooooth to operate, and mega fun to shoot." Gotta put that to music someday.

Shot off hand/standing as usual.
10 rounds CCI SV, 30 rounds Federal CP-HP, 50 rounds American Eagle CP-HP.
Perfect lever action with zero FTFs or FTEs.

I'm posting the two 25-yard targets. I shot one 50-yard target, had similar fairly tight groups but almost the entire POI grouping started about 1/4" above the top of the black target ring. Just need to compensate my sighting to bring the POIs down into the bull. This rifle is a spot-on 25-30 yard shooter.

I was at the MO Parma Woods outdoor range today. Weather was beautiful: 57* with sunny blue sky, no wind. Range was mostly empty....everyone is out deer hunting! ;) Of course I don't know, but today might be one of the last perfect weather days for outdoor shooting this year. Didn't want to miss it.
Here are the targets. Have a good weekend, Everyone. PT7

First 30 rounds shot. 16 in 3-1/2" bull; 13 in cardboard outside bull; 1 in the berm.

Another great report, PT7. Congratulations on such a wonderful day at the range. I think you've already written the song! It's got a beat you can dance to and a lyric for Henry lovers. Thanks.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Maybe not the best rimfire lever action ever made but certainly the best deal for everyday use.
