you can most certainly say you have seen the issue discussed and where you read about it .... my hunch is they are already well aware of it

Sorry you are having those issues. Im curious what Henry does this time and I hope you let us know. I own a couple Marlins old and new. I had such a bad experience with my last Marlin I would not ever buy a newer Marlin made by Remington. If you need customer service there it wont happen. Al

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

If I were you I would still contact Mr. Imperato. He would not be pleased to know you are having a bad experience and my bet would be you will get satisfaction of some sort.

Well, that’s what I was thinking too, but hey, I’m not making the decision here.

I personally think Henry is building as good a quality firearm as anyone else (for lever guns). Their customer service is outstanding, and Anthony will back up his product 100%. I own a very old Winchester, and a late JM Marlin 1895GS. Both are great guns, but I wouldn’t buy a new one from either maker.

Sorry to hear that this hasnt been resolved, and just so you know Ive had the same issue with my 44 Allweather. Boltfreeze sometimes after 5rounds and sometimes after 30rounds, with the little knowledge that I have I tracked it to be a boltissue. I could hardly get the bolt out of the system for cleaning and even worse to trying to get the bolt back in after cleaning. I found a thread somewhere where the owner got the bolt replaced with a classic" bolt and thats what I took with me and demanded a boltchange to a classic. It took alot of time getting the bolt overseas but finally got it and man what a difference, i could push it with my indexfinger in my rifle with close to no effort. So my qualified guess is that the bolt "coating" make the bolt out of tolerances, I had alot of black residue from just cycling the bolt/lever at home. Maybe that residue cause the system to bind after firing. Anyway my problem seems to be resolved atleast the problem doesent persist like it used to within my usage, before it showed just after a few rounds now I can shoot 50-100shots with no problem so. And I dont really know the difference from allweather and classic bolt but it works for me atleast.
