Time Well Spent
earlier today I took Mike (The Wiz) to the home of a long time friend where we spent a few hours on his firing range .... I didn't take a camera, the picture below shows our oldest grandson at that range several months ago .... it was really good to renew link up with Mike again, this was our first opportunity to do so since his wife and he moved to our area .... he brought his Henry 357 & 22LR along with some hand guns .... I took our Henry and Ruger Redhawk 44 Mags .... I was able to run our handloads fired from both 44's through a chrony .... with the information recorded, we can now sight them in so as to have the flattest trajectory over the distances we plan to shoot .... most of our firing was at 25 and 50 yards .... we fired at a few paper targets and skeet (and pieces of broken skeet) .... really enjoyed it, hope to get out there again soon

Those Grandkids always remember outings like that. Something my father never took time to do.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Re: Time Well Spent
my long time friend mentioned above suffers from Ataxia .... its put him in a wheel chair .... he still works on various projects but no longer can shoot .... he enjoys having folks come by to visit and shoot .... a third friend joined us so Mike (The Wiz) got a pretty good introduction to a southern, country way of friends relaxing and having fun

Re: Time Well Spent
Was a very good time and thanks to our host, Glen. First time I was able to shoot outdoors and beyond 24 yrds with the Henry's. I was pleasantly surprised on how I did. The only problem was Jim making me shoot his .44 and me now wanting my own .44 . Bad Jim, bad. Not often do I get to sitting with folks , do a little trash talking and poke holes in paper. A really fine time.
