man oh man, it's been a month since i was at the range last, that's sad... been mowing grass i guess, instead of getting to shoot... LOL.
anyway, i had put a williams peep on my carbine, but today when i gave her a try, it just did not work too well, oh i could hit the paper, but it was all over; so took it off and back to the factory buckhorn... few shots and got her dialed in...50 yds, fine bead. sitting on a bench, resting elbow. the "wild childs" are standing offhand.. got some work to do there, if i can match offhand what i did with resting my elbow, or at least pretty close, i will back up to 80 or 100 and see how that goes..
that is one smooth rifle though, it's just fun to shoot.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

Re: 45 carbine update
Nice work with the open sights. I think some folks forget just how effective these old traditional sights can be.
