PT7 -- Mark IV new mags test

Post by PT7 » Tue Oct 09, 2018 3:07 pm

I recently bought a couple of back-up magazines for my .22LR Mark IV. Spent the range time today trying them out. With one of the mags, it initially was binding when loading the 5th or 6th round (10-round capacity). Had to do a little filing, and got it loosened up.

The last target I shot at today has about fifty POIs or so in it. Set the target close in at only 5 yards, and decided to shoot the final forty rounds rapid fire. And I emptied the 4 magazine loads very rapidly! Both magazines worked flawlessly. Neither mag had any FTFs or FTEs for those rapid fire rounds.

The target is a mess, but the mag performance test was A-OK. It was fun for a change simply shooting a mess!
