Probably about 50 rounds over two days. Very accurate with open sights. No problems operating it at all. The barrel does get pretty hot after 10 rounds or so. This is the first time I have ever fired a rifle cartridge like that so that may well be expected. If definitely gets hotter than the big boy .357 after 10 rounds.

I put about 100 rounds or so through the big boy. It gets smoother with every outing.

The Ruger American Rimfire made its first appearance too. It works great. Accurate and smooth operating.

No photos. The shooting was done at metal targets at about 50 and 70 yards give or take a few yards.

A good time was had by all that attended.

One shot at a time sounds like a lot of fun. Nice to hear your .223 is accurate and operates problem-free.
Good for Henry & you!

Glad everyone had a good time. :)

Good for you. Sounds like you had fun and that's what it is all about. For sure, when you get velocities pushing 3000 fps plus, you will get barrel heating.
