All Weather 357 20” Round two

Post by Belmoresr » Sun Feb 11, 2018 5:25 pm

Finally got more range time. Ran mostly 38 +P and some 357s. All cycled well, except Blazer.
Figured out quickly that Henry does NOT like Blazer ammo that’s doesn't allow reload. I think it has an aluminum case. Luckily I heard/felt the issue before I loaded it all of the way. I was able to unload and get the rest of that ammo out. It works in my GP100 but won’t see the Henry again.
Now for the target. (All shot standing, no rest)
1 is from 45’
2 is from 70’
3 is from 100’ through some brush.
Think I’m going to buy a bench rest soon. Skinner peep is on the way too.

I really wanted to hit the range today, but the rain won out. I've only shot a few boxes of factory loads through my BBS, but it handled them without a bobble. I believe one was remington and the other monarch brass case. My 22s sure have been neglected since I got it. I think you're really going to enjoy that Skinner peep.

That's some fine offhand work. Nice shooting.

We've been stuck in a long cold weather pattern. Haven't seen any temps above the teens for a couple weeks, now. Going a bit nutty to get out and do some range work.
