National Shooting Month Day At The Range

Post by CT_Shooter » Sun Aug 27, 2023 1:17 pm

It was my first time shooting this year. I know. It's hard for me to believe, too. It's been a weird summer.

I decided to take the Colt King Cobra Carry 2" and 158gr JHPs.

I fired 72 rounds at 10 yards in forty minutes; two hands, sitting, single action. My first shot was a bullseye. :o

It kinda went sideways from there, but I had a great time at the range with my brother and my grip hand is only slightly sore. Here are my results.

13 - off target
08 - 5 ring
12 - 6 ring
14 - 7 ring
14 - 8 ring
03 - 9 ring
04 - 10 ring
04 - Bullseye

Glad you got out! I can understand; it seems hard to find time for shooting, while attending the daily things of life. I was going pretty regular, before my wife's surgery. Lately, not as much. She is feeling better. So, I suspect that will change.

I did get out to shoot my new Colt King Cobra Carry, almost 3 months ago. I liked how smooth the trigger was. But, I did not like the length of the trigger pull. It seems longer than my Smith & Wesson M360. Yet, the recoil was much more manageable. So, I still enjoyed shooting it!

The most important part is just getting out and shooting!

Actions speak louder than words (Matthew 7:16-20).
