Ruger Redhawk

Post by Shakey Jake » Sat Apr 10, 2021 10:23 am

Took the (new to me) Redhawk to the range yesterday for the first time. Shot a few 44 special at 15 yards. I was going to shoot some magnum the the cylinder started hanging up. Rather than force the issue I just stopped. I think I've got it fixed but will see. May send it back to Ruger in the future if it does it again.

Nice shooting Jake! What is the barrel length? Did the cylinder lock up with no rounds in it too? Did any of the brass show rub marks on case head?

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Thanks. Yes, with and without rounds. It has something to do with the cylinder release. I cleaned and lubricated it well and didn't replicate afterwards during dry firing. I hope it stays that way. No rub marks on the case heads. 7.5" barrel.
