Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

Iron sights at 100 yards
Got some range time with the Henry 45-70. Took a few shots to get on paper at 100 yards; had to raise the Skinner peep two full turns, which was kind of a surprise, but now the rifle is on target. My old eyes might really need a scope, but if I keep shots under 100 yards, I should be okay. After all, this rifle should be an up close and personal hunting weapon, and where I hunt elk, most opportunities are in black timber. An elk should feel privileged to be shot with such a beautiful rifle.

OUTSTANDING .... on an elk it may not make any difference but I'd be curious to know that with a 100 yd zero, where she hits a 50yds

Ill bet its hunting Elk on the Big Horn range. That area is one of my favorites in the state of Wyoming especially the Greybull side and the shell canyon area.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
