Went to the range today to tryout some loads with homemade lube, homecast bullets. Was alot of snow so I kept me at the 25meter range today, well here is the result with support against a pole, shooting with skinnersights. Conclusion these load work fine in my revolvers and my Henry Allweather 44magnum. Dont mind the grouping position, I tweaked the skinner rearsight at the end. And I also need to practice aswell its been long time between the rangevisits the last year.

Great shooting Ruhler. Looks like you have it dialed in. How are loading supplies over there where you are at.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Very nice shooting with your own cast lead bullets! What revolvers were you shooting and exactly what is "stereotype" lead?
I know about Linotype.

Supplies here is still around, but products from US is getting harder to get.
Linotype is the more correct name for the lead I using, the one I have is at brinell 21-22, stereotype is just another name for the lead used when printing.
The revolvers I use with 44 is a Ruger Super Blackhawk with 10.5" barrel and a S&W 629-5 Classic 5" the model with interchangeable front sight. The Ruger has tighter cylinderthroats so Im not sure about shooting oversized bullet I can push a .431 through the throats but not a .432.

That is a fine pair of .44 revolvers! I have the Ruger SBH 7.5 and among others a S&W 629-2E 3 inch barrel. For field carry with a .44 Mag or Special my S&W M69 is real handy with 4.2 barrel and smaller L frame.ruhler wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 1:57 amSupplies here is still around, but products from US is getting harder to get.
