It was a very classic S&W M/1006 from the good old days when pistols were built from steel. Hated to see it go but we want to pay the Jeep off in three months so I’m helping by selling a few guns. I paid like $600 for it around 12 years ago and sold it for $1400. Crazy.

Railroad ties…..yes indeed. When I fenced the pasture at my last place I planned to use RR ties for the corner and line posts with T post in between. After doing the first corner with three ties I quickly switched to pressure treated 6x6’s. Those damn ties were too heavy and messy to use.

... Here is the Great Wall of Onion Creek in place.
Nice backstop! I hope to someday build something similar. Though my plan uses 4x6 PT posts at the ends, faced front and back with PT planks. Then the 6" gap between the planks filled with 3/4minus rock. It's going to be a while, my list of to do's is plenty long already.

Nice Hatch, I like the shooting lane.
Looks good, have ya thought about back filling some dirt/sand behind it?
A little more safe, plus extra support of the ties.
Just have to be careful as to not knock it forward while doing so.
You'll really enjoy it for sure.
