I have had the thing for more than 30 years now. Never thought about squirting some CLP in trigger assembly. Probably because, I have been shooting mostly single action, which really only takes a touch of the trigger for it to fire. Since I have decided to shoot more double action with it, I noticed that the trigger seems a little heavy. I probably notice it more, due to comparison with my King Cobra. So, I gave the trigger assembly a squirt of CLP. The trigger seems a little lighter now. Being the case, I may not take off the side plate for cleaning, unless the trigger pull is not fluid. I am not crazy about removing the side plate. If it shot pretty good for these pass 30 years without me removing the plate, it may do alright for another 30 years.

I would safely dry fire it as often as possible to get all the surfaces to smooth each other. I find it helps you and a revolver a lot when you dry fire.
