Re: Kimber K6xs carry
I still will carry a 45 ACP pistol either my Springfield XDE with 3.3 barrel or the little Fat Boy 1911 3.1 barrel. Just depends.
Both function well and easy to carry.

Re: Kimber K6xs carry
Great review, photographs and shooting with the Kimber. I haven't seen a Kimber revolver at any of the gun stores I frequent. I don't know why as some of them have Kimber semi-autos.
I'm in the revolver crowd when it comes to defensive carry. I used to pocket carry a 638 for years. Now I pocket carry a pro series 640. It's all stainless and will soak up a bit of the .357 recoil if that's what I'm shooting. I carry 158 grn +P hollow points mostly. If I'm thinking I may need more than five shots, I carry a second revolver.

Very familiar with the J frames some of you age posted about. I've had most of them and they sure do the job. I'm guessing Smith must sure sell a lot of them. No wonder Kimber decided to get in that market. If I thought 6 shots might not be enough, I'll carry one of the speed loaders Kimber offers and call it good.

I find the old belt pouch for the sliding phones you find at goodwill for $1 make perfect pouches for two bianchi speed strips. I have one with a magnetic closure. Here are three views of that phone case in action. Works good, and has lasted years. Considering those slide phones are long gone... you can guess how long the phone case has been doing this duty.

Those speed strips contain full house 357 JHP rounds for the Beast.

Re: Kimber K6xs carry
I've got a couple .38 snubbies, a Smith 637 and Ruger LCR and I doubt very much that I could match your 17 yard rapid fire group with either of them! Good shooting!
By the way....I've been using my RCBS cast wadcutters for carrying. I've read about how well these perform in short barrel defense revolvers so did a water jug penetration test. Running at just under 800 fps that little WC plowed through 5 gallon jugs and dimpled #6!! It actually out penetrated a 240 gr. XTP from a .44 magnum rifle running at 1600 fps! That's fine and dandy but does raise the issue of over penetration for defensive use.

I have fond memories of 38 wadcutters, shooting them in a vintage Smith Model 10. Couldn't miss with that old revolver shooting wadcutters, gutter sights and all.
