Pumpkin carving and blasting with the Henrys !
Yep that time once again to carve a pumpkin and blast a few too. https://youtu.be/Vi3M9CghTbY
The "blade" of choice for carving was the 20 inch Henry .357 rifle. Turned out OK but I found a limiting factor with my ghost ring sight when trying to
precisely pick out the same point of impact with the other eye hole. The field of view around target is limited a bit but I guessed close enough!
Ammo used was my .38 Specials which were MB 158 gr. RNFP loaded with 5.6 gr. of Power Pistol.
Next was blasting time with the little pumpkins using the .44 Mag Carbine and those 180 gr. sizzlers that will make a mess of anything they hit going around 2000 FPS. As you can see they were vaporized into to fragments that traveled a good distance in every direction. I found a piece in the bed of my truck!
Then on to the Orange Crush bottles and sorry to say when I put the camera back on my hat it was pointed to low to show the target.
That's what happens when you are your own camera person...couldn't tell how it was angled till video was done. Well you got a good shot of the Henry hammer coming down! Yes the bottles were vaporized too by those hot 180 gr. 44 Mag rounds.
Hope you enjoy watching!

Yeah it was great to get out and shoot for a change and take a break from the shed project. No wind today but it was a bit soggy from the rain
we had Friday.
