I took the Golden Boy out to the range Wednesday 8/31/19 to sight it in. About a year ago I put a a Skinner barrel mounted peep on it. I liked it but with the factory brass bead front sight I didn’t have the clearest sight picture. So recently I bought a Skinner front blade sight. Initially, I purchased a .5” blade but that was too tall. I bought the .45” and that did the trick.
Due to some tall weeds at my range, I only had about an 11 yard distance to sight it in. I shot several 5 round groups. I think I got it about as close as I can. I used Winchester 40gr RN 1300fps.
I look forward to taking it back out and trying it at 25-30 yards to see where it prints.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

You’re Golden Boy looks Golden to me. I just wish that gun would fit me but the stock drop on it just doesn’t work for me.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Re: Golden Boy 22LR range report
I can relate. When shooting any of my Henry’s I usually have the bottom corner of the stock up by my collar bone. It can be a bit awkward at first. I sure wouldn’t want to shoot a 45-70 that way!
