Welcome, Keystone, from Tennessee. Dang good place to hang out. Lots of good info floating around here, feel free to add yours.
Good luck on the hunt. Remember, pics, or it didn't happen, LOL.

I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

Welcome from NH. good luck on that bear hunt. We have many in NH and wish they were hunted more. Have shot 2 over the years. practice that 2nd shot
as the first shot may kill them but it won't stop them unless it is a spinal shot. They have oversized adrenaline glands and most often they will get up especially the 300+ pounders.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I started getting my reloading bench in order tonight. I think I have things where I want them for now. Now to buy some consumables and start loading.

I am looking forward to the trip not necessarily because of the hunt but because it’s a lifetime trip for my dad. He always wanted to hunt bear in Maine and he’ll get to live the dream with his sons. Remote camp with family for a week. It will be bonding or we will drive each other crazy. That’s how family rolls.
