Hello. New here.

Post by stickmaker » Tue Jun 23, 2020 2:22 pm

I have always been a fan of Henry Arms. I had a Steel round barrel 30-30 for a number of years before it was stolen; I am waiting to be able to buy a new Model X 357. I have a SW 357 that is my favorite side arm and have wanted a compatible rifle to go with it. They are not any in stock in my area and everyone says they can’t get one at this time. I looked at a number of the online stores also, same response. I found this Forum while looking for the rifle. I look forward to learning and sharing. Other than shooting I love wood carving. Most of my work is doing walking sticks and canes. I have done some decretive carving on some older gun stocks for myself. I do not have the skill leave to carve on other peoples stocks.

Welcome Stickmaker to the forum. You might try going to the Henry website and asking Anthony about drop shipping one to your local gun store. Its worked for several members here including myself.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Hey Stick! Welcome from Nebraska. I, too, went the 357 revolver and rifle path. Great idea!

Welcome Stickmaker. You'll love your X when you get it. I have one in 45-70 but have the .357 X version on several wish lists and notifications when it comes in stock.
