Welcome from NH! Somebody posted on this site previously, that Henry 44 mag barrels are rifled to preferably stabilize .44mag 240 gr. bullets. I would agree, as my ss likes the heavier ones. I have tried 210's, 225's and 240's. Some of the sierra's are fatter at .4295 while the hornady and speers are .429 in diameter. Try them all if you can. Soft point choices are limited. Speer deep curl are readily available. Most other brands seem to offer mostly hp's Good luck!
