New Member From Iowa
Greetings all from Eastern Iowa. I've lived in Iowa since birth and cannot imagine calling anywhere else home.
Raised on a family farm along the Iowa River, when not in the fields or doing chores, I spent more time in the
woods than football fields or pool halls. I began hunting with a .410 Trustworthy, a Winchester 1897 12 ga. that were
part of the family for generations and still are today.
I recently purchased a Henry Steel H010 in .45-70 Govt for hunting elusive Iowa whitetails. I look forward to
participating in the forum discussions and learning more about these fine American made rifles.

Understood on IA being home, Stray Cat. I enjoyed the three years I spent in Ames for one of my jobs.
Welcome to the HRF. I bet that new Henry .45-70 will bring home that "elusive" IA whitetail someday. Best as you continue your time in the woods.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Welcome from Colorado where we now watch hemp grow rather than corn.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Sure do! Rock this town and many others. I'm a high school graduate of 1978, disco took over most FM radio stations, but never was inserted into my
cassette deck.

It is a better cash crop than corn too, organic grain farming (weedy corn fields) has been gaining attention here.
