Hello from WV

Post by RickH » Sun Oct 20, 2019 2:05 pm

Howdy - Rick from Kenova WV here. I plan to order a Henry Big Boy All Weather in 45 Colt (H012CAW) this week so I thought I'd join up & check in to see what others think of the rifle. I have a stainless Ruger Blackhawk Bisley and Redhawk in 45 Colt and reload for them so getting the rifle just makes sense - at least that's how I've convinced myself.

I understand Henry recommends no more than 260 grain (or 270?) bullets. I just shoot for fun and my reloads are usually 255 grain so no problem there. Please let me know if there is anything else I should know about the rifle, otherwise I'll check back in after I get it. Thanks in advance!

Rick

Hey Rick! A lot of us do the caliber combo thing. It just makes sense, and fun. I shoot the 357 steel carbine and a Ruger 357 SP101.

Glad you joined us.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Hello Rick, Welcome aboard from W. TN.
I too have a few rifle pistol caliber combos.
As you already know that's a cool caliber, especially since you reload for it.
Glad to have ya.
