name is gary peacemaker I was in the usaf for 12 years and med discharged. then I was a Harley master tec before opening my own shop now retired. I shoot a lot of black powder muzzleloaders and everything after that I love the 45-70. just picked up a new henery H015 45-70 single shot. have not shot it yet once all is seated then I will take it out to 45-120 if possible. hi to all and I look forward to this form

Welcome from Nebraska! Did you stock up on ammo first? Cali must make you shake your head. You will enjoy your Henry, and, the folks here.

Thank you all. I do shoot the other 45-70 lever gun. And iam good on that ammo but I am gathering everything for the 120.

Interesting timing with your comment that you "shoot a lot of BP muzzleloaders." I just got my first BP ball & cap pistol this week. Starting a new adventure with a different type of firearm.
Many folk here will look forward to hear how you like your new Henry .45-70 SS. Of course, if you have visited the forum before joining, you know that pictures really tell a good part of the story, too!

Thanks for the service Gary and welcome to the forum. Im not sure Id tackle a 45-120. Powder column is not user friendly.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
