glad you have her back .... the metal piece looks like a choke tube wrench, no clue why they would send one with your rifle .... hopefully you will get to take her out soon, looking forward to your subsequent report .... do hope you will add your Long Ranger 6.5 Creedmoor to our community total in our How Many ? (link below) .... I believe yours will be our first

Enclosed in the shipping box is a blued steel gadget that I have no clue as to the purpose.
That's a choke tube wrench. Why in the world they would have sent one to you with your Long Ranger will remain a mystery forever.

Glad you got it back in good shape, though.

The stock looks great.

Let us know how it shoot for you!

Called Henry, verified that it is a choke wrench.
No clue why it was taped to inside of box.
Need one? PM me.

No, thanks, I've accumulated a few over the years. Keep it, you never know when a nice shotgun might present itself!

Took the Long Ranger to a rifle range this a.m.. Managed a 5 shot, .6 m.o.a. group at 100 yards. Not bad for an out of the box, new rifle, with (now) 6# trigger pull.
