Hello & Welcome, from the central part of West Tenn.
Can't wait to see and hear about that 38-55.
I have a bullet mould for one but no gun.

Yup.. I worked in a couple of the garlic processing plants as a youngster. Now I’m on the Central Coast, near Pismo.

Thanks! Through family lines, I acquired a 100+ y/o Ideal Tool Co. #4 reloading tool in 38-55. It was in sad shape, but I was able to restore it to working condition. It does the whole job and has a single cavity mold that casts beautiful 250 grain bullets that it sizes to .379”. It’s a great tool. I have a Lee mold now as well, but won’t start casting until I get the new rifle and alug the barrel. I’m thinking that the Ideal .379 mold is going to be good to go. I powder coat everything now-a-days so I’ll have to see what the slug test says as far as sizing.

I have toyed with the idea of having one of the Marlin 30-30's rebored.
A good friend of mine had one done year before last, he and I were working on some loads.
Then work got in the way, then back in Feb. we lost him.

That's all the experience I have with the cal.
The mold I have is a double cavity, but two different calibers, I bought it for the heavy .41 cavity. :D
But thinking by buddy could try/use the other, oh well.
Maybe if they bring it out in a blued model, without all the excess checkering...But,
I ah," Really" don't need another set of dies.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the new Henry.
Congrats again, and Welcome aboard.

Nice. We spend a ton of time around Pismo. Love it there. Guiseppe’s is awesome.
