Howdy from Vancouver Island

Post by EasyEd » Tue Apr 23, 2019 1:52 am

Hey All,

Ok so I'll start with a confession. I own two lever actions of that other detachable magazine brand - a 7mm-08 and a 30-06. Dang things shoot straight. There I said it, it was cathartic :D - am I banned? Do I need help?

Anyway the reason I'm here is because I decided to do something about the fact that despite being a lever action fan I've never owned a lever 22 and saw a plain Jane H001 on sale and bought it. I've always been curious about Henry's. I really like everything about it... Pretty, smoother action than either of my 2 other lever guns above or my lever action adler 12 gauge shotgun. We will see how accurate this Henry is next weekend assuming no rain. I am willing to try another Henry when I figure out what else would be useful.

I grew up cowboy mostly in Montana and lever guns have always been favorite. I still miss my first a Marlin 336ER in 356 Winchester.

My main vices in no particular order are guitars guns (lever action) and photography and associated activities.

Lived and worked in the Pacific Northwest mostly - Montana Washington Oregon Alberta British Columbia even California. Yes I am a dual citizen. Training is in natural resources forestry and range management.

Look forward to participating in this forum.

Welcome from Ontario. I'm not much of a shotgun guy, but one of those Adlers might be just about enough to bring me over to the 'dark side'. Beautiful guns, and a lever to boot...
