Good day from the piedmont in NC
Good day from the piedmont in NC
Hello all! After a several month search/sign up for waitlist/waiting for a H012CC, I finally found one on Gunbroker and I picked it up yesterday. I know there is an unspoken rule on every forum that there must be pictures or it ain't true, but trust me that when I say the color case hardened rifle is one of my most beautiful rifles, I am speaking the truth. I will take it to the range soon for a test.
I do want to ask a question even though I have not done a search yet (my account was just approved): I am considering a Skinner peep sight. Can you give me any guidance? Do you really have to replace the front sight?
Looking forward to your thoughts.

Never mind about the question regarding Skinner. I found some answers.

It's a toss up on the express sight. My Low Pro did not require a new front sight. Good luck and welcome from Nebraska.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Welcome to the forum from KC! As noted, there are lots of 44 Mag owners and fans here, and a growing number of CCH owners (I'm among them), so congrats on picking up a prized offering from HRA!
Look forward to your continuing impressions and range reports along the way as you get to know and shoot it!
The suitability of the Skinner depends on your eyes and your intended uses and shooting distances. There are lots of great posts in the "Scopes and Sights" sub-forum than may help.
Congrats and Welcome again!

Congrats on getting a Henry Big Boy. There are a bunch of us BB owners on the Forum.
You've chosen a cool Henry, and partnered up with a good group!
