Hello from Nantes, France...
Hello everyone,
A real pleasure to join this forum.
I should receive in January my Henry 45-70 brass lift action with octagonal barrel!
After a difficult search in France, (this model is not imported except special request with frightening delays),
I ended up ordering it in Germany ...
I am very impatient and excited to receive it, it is currently for leisure use and sport only.
I do not hunt now.
I intend to practice reloading, it interests me a lot and it will be necessary given the price of munnitions here!
(never done)...
Apologize for translation (french speaking ... )

Welcome BruniX. We all understand the pain of waiting for the rifle. May not take as long here, but still the same.
I too, have just started the reloading process. There is a lot to learn.
Enjoy your Henry!

Re: Hello from Nantes, France...
Congrats on your success in ordering the Henry .45-70. You'll be joining others here that are enjoying that caliber rifle.
According to our "Flags" window at bottom of the Board Index, which shows our home countries, I see you are the first person who may raise the French flag. We'll look forward to hearing about your shooting experiences in your country, as well.
Anticipating with you the arrival of your Henry!

Re: Hello from Nantes, France...
welcome indeed .... delighted to have you join our forum .... my guess is your term "lift action" is what we call a lever action .... as you will learn, loading your own ammo opens up new worlds for a 45-70 .... ours is one heck of a rifle .... I'm in the process of developing a range load for it which is fun to fire .... please let me know if I can be of any assistance .... once yours arrives please look up our How Many ? thread (link below) and add it to our community's total

Re: Hello from Nantes, France...
Thank you all, very nice welcome!
actually a lot of translation errors, for example, between lift action and lever action
I send you photos, as soon as the rifle will be received!
I posted a new message
Henry 45-70 brass raise safe & good reloading for newbies in the "reloading rubric"
because actually I'm sure that I need help and your experiences to not blow me up by shooting with ammunition reloaded
I think it was a good choice, henry rifles seem very good workmanship and very well finished ...
see y soon, and do not hesitate to correct me for the language errors

I make more typo errors than you do in traslation errors, so you are in good company . I read your reload post. Since I don't reload I didn't have anything to say there. There are passionate reloaders on here, so I expect you'll get a lot of advice.
