Hello everyone. I bought my first Henry (Big Boy 44 mag) last week and joined to get more info on it. Its my first lever action rifle period. I am a former Marine Corps Shooting Team. I got my Distinguished Pistol Shot badge back in 1986. Was active duty 1980 to 1988. Worked as a DOD contractor in Iraq from 2004 to 2011 and in Afghanistan from 2012 to 2015.

Welcome to the forum from CT and congratulations on your new Henry. That .44 is a favorite around here, so you'll have lots of company to share with. You'll enjoy the forum and that new rifle, I'm sure. Thank you for your service, Marine. Glad you're home again.

....and Greetings from the Show-Me-State, Distinguished. Certain you'll like your first Henry BB. And you are also correct to start counting your Henry rifles early on!

Thank you for your service and welcome to the Henry fold. As you can tell, lots of .44 Mag fans/users around here, so you've come to the right place.

With your background, I know I'm not alone in hearing about your range visits and seeing some of your results, so please share and post pics!
