Yup bears everywhere, I also have a farm in eastern nc just below the dismal and that is where I hunt and shoot. More bear than deer. I love my levers and favorite caliber is my 4570s. Marlin and ruger.

Welcome to the forum! I read some of the info on your link, and it said there are only TWO natural lakes in the whole state of Virginia? Is that right? I guess the others are man made/dam reservoirs?

I was thinkin maybe it was the Okefenokee swamp. Welcome aboard from the swamps of Virginia. Ive been to the Okefenokee swamp and went thru it on a boat it was way cool. Should be able to find a use for a 44 Henry in the swamp.

Thanks for sharing your pictures. I can't get enough of seeing brass octagon Henry rifles. They are so beautiful! You got a fine piece of character in your stock too. Suggest you might want to get a coat of Renaissance Wax on the brass and wood.
