New member and new to Henry

Post by cowboyzombie69 » Fri Jul 06, 2018 3:55 pm

Hello all, new member to the forum. I'm an avid firearm enthusiast and have a soft spot for cowboy action guns. I just picked up my first Henry and love the gun so far. I've been in the market for a .45-70 for a while and got a great deal on an H010 steel in .45-70. Looking to make this my hiking/backpacking/four-wheeling/camping rifle. I spend a lot of time in mountain lion and black bear country so wanted some knock down, reliability and quality and so far, it looks like I've make a great choice. Thanks

Greetings from the Show-Me-State, Cowboyzombie.

From what other Henry owners of the .45-70 have said, you have made a good choice.

Enjoy the rifle, and also enjoy your time "hiking" around the Forum threads. Lots of ground to cover here!!

WELCOME INDEED .... you want stopping power and your 45-70 most certainly fits the bill .... ours has proven to be one heck of a rifle .... looking forward to seeing your range reports and hearing your evaluation after you get to spend more time sending bullets down the barrel .... as Mags said in his post above, please add it to our community total at the link he provided ....

Awesome, thanks everyone. I only have the one Henry right now. I'm slowly expanding my cowboy guns collection but I'm a big gear head so the budget fights over where it goes. I hope to contribute as much as I can.

Welcome from the Rockies of Colorado. 45-70’s have multiplied at my house. Its a fun caliber to plink with to if you have reloading capabilities.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
