From South Texas
Its been a while since I was here - thought I should re-introduce myself.
Bought a 24" .22 a while back and love it. Selling my Marlin39A because I'm through screwing around with it...
Anyway - hello from south Texas, where the lil messicans are pened up.

Re: From South Texas
Glad to hear you like your Henry. I don't think anyone has yet posted a Range Report on this newer 24" rifle in .22LR; of course, could have missed it. Anyway, will look forward to what you say about it down-the-road.

Thanks for your updated status. Glad you're here and I look forward to your range reports, too.Blackdog wrote:...hello from south Texas, where the lil messicans are pened up.
Who was it who said, "...suffer little children and forbid them not to come to me..." ? I think it was some person who was once quite influential. The world has changed so much lately, it's hard for me to remember.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Re: From South Texas
Welcome back, shame that Marlin is giving you trouble. We have some folks here who know those guns inside out. Maybe they can help you out.

Load on Sunday and Shoot all Week.......okay it's a Mare's Leg I will reload on Wednesday.
Re: From South Texas
I use the new Henry to shoot lever Action Silhouette - it works just-fine for that. The Marlin used to work fine, but the way the internals work...well, it would jam/hangup/lockup at critical times...like on the first shot of the Texas State Match. (cost me too many matches - had to go away)
The Henry runs along and nothing seems to bother it. Happy I switched.
The National silhouette matches are next month - taking the Henry to the range today do final ammo testing and sight adjustment.
Will post a range report when I get back.
