Bought my first Henry a few months ago. An H001 in .22LR. Thought it would be a good rifle for my other half who has to wear wrist supports when shooting her G19 due to arthritis in her wrists, but she couldn’t afford it, so I bought one for myself for her to shoot when we go out to the range together. The action is as smooth as I’ve seen in a lever gun. Also my first tube fed rifle. Have not benched it to see how accurate it can be yet.

Definitely a great choice in getting the classic Henry, Wingspar. And your H001 has some very nice wood furniture, too!
Hope you and your other half really enjoy it.

There are some other Oregonians in the Forum, and I lived there (just north of Salem) for several years in the late 1990s.
In what part of the state or city are you living? Beautiful country in the Northwest, for sure!

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I’m on the SW Coast of Oregon. Been here since 1973. Definitely not a city dude. Worked in the woods (logging road location and design) so I know the country well and know of lots of places to shoot.

Welcome to the forum from CT. My H001 was the first firearm I purchased and totally agree that it's a great rifle. She'll love shooting it. So will you.
