Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry
Hello
Hello
New member from St.Louis.
I got a new 308 single shot ordered from Cabela's and it's on it's way. I should have it in a week or so..
I already have a Williams Target rear sight for it and will be getting a new Williams Firesight for it as well, just as soon as I get the correct measurements front and back of it to give them. I know I have to trim a few thousands off the rear face of the sight to make it work properly, but that's not a problem. This should be great out to 300 yards and in. Most would put a scope on it,but I'm not wanting to do this, since I already have a scoped 308 with my 11lb. CZ this'll be my"Walk-about" rifle,or so I am hoping it to be.
Laying in a supply of new 308 ammo and reloading supplies for it and my new heavyweight CZ 557 Varmint I just picked up recently.
Can't wait till I get it home and out to the range.
Thanks for listening
Mac

"Hello" back to you, Mac, and Welcome from the Show-Me-State!
Congrats on the new Henry .308 rifle.
There has been a scarcity of Range Reports on Henry single-shot firearms. Will look forward to reading about your upcoming range experiences. And everyone would like to see photos, too.
Enjoy.

Re: Hello
Thanks All
I appreciate the warm welcome.
I certainly will be updating everyone on this little single shot. I do know that there's no real range reports on the 308 and I'm surethat's due to the real lack of these rifles out in the wild. I consider myself lucky in getting this one since Cabela's had only 3 nationwide...
Looking forward to having it in hand, then I can breathe a little easier... LOL
