Just bought a Henry 22Mag w/octagon barrel. Plans are target and woodchucks. Any scope recommendations? Considered Nikon Prostaff

Welcome to the forum from CT. Several members have scoped their Henrys. I put an inexpensive Simmons 4x32 on my H001 and it's adequate for the 25 yard range that I shoot indoors.

Welcome to the forum JDGREEN4ME. Im sure you will find many recommendations here for your scope question. I myself like the Burris 2 x 7. I think its a good size for a levergun. Please take time to add your new 22mag to our running total in the How Many thread Thanks Al

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Welcome aboard, Nikon makes great scopes. I have one on my Ruger 10/22 and it is incredibly clear. It is a 3-9 X 40. That said, I don’t personally like the look of it on a lever gun. It is just too big and modern looking for my taste. I use it strictly for target shooting. I think if I was going to be shooting for pest management I would opt for something like BigAl52 mentioned.
