Hello from North Fork!!!
Just joined this forum and am looking to learn and contribute. Lots of air rifle and rimfire background, but just now venturing into big bore centerfires. I'm hankering for a brass wildlife edition 45-70. Starting to research period scopes (MVA), Skinner sights, and options on longer range sights (Soule). etc. Will likely start with Hornady LEVERevolution with the 325 gr. bullet and go from there, if needed. Would like to try some longer range shooting with the 45-70 and use it on large game hunts. REALLY wanting to go on an elk, moose, and bison hunt. If I have to settle for one, bison would win. Had a .22 Henry and let a buddy talk me out of it. BIG regret on that one. Well, gotta get some sleep. Have to get up in time for work to pay for all of this. LM

Welcome to the forum from the Shenandoah Valley, Va. Are you sure about that wildlife 45-70? Seems like you should be looking for a Winchester 92 with a big loop lever equipped with an adjustable trigger screw.....

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Re: Hello from North Fork!!!
welcome indeed, happy to have you join our community .... our Henry Color Case Hardened 45-70 as quickly become one of our favorites .... if you plan to load your own ammo, it is important to know that if you use Hornady LEVERevolution ammo, their shell casings aren't standard size .... reloading them limits your choice of bullets .... if you do some searches, you will find a wealth of info related to 45-70's on this forum .... feel free to ask questions and join in discussions .... again, welcome aboard
