Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

I own 2 44 mag carbine and 45/70 cc I love shooting both. But 45/70 is fav. I recently did a precision trickled load of 64 gr. Of h335 and at 100yds get a3/4 in group using 300 grain nos. ballistic tip. This is my deer load now. I just wonder if anyone else uses H335 in their 45/70s. Also thanks to all for my welcoming here I already learned a lot about 45/70s here.

as already noted, I've had excellent results with Nosler's 300 gr Ballistic Silvertips .... I haven't tried H335, I load 51.5 gr of IMR4198 .... please take a look at our How many ? thread at this link ===> http://henryrifleforums.com/viewtopic.p ... 403#p52403 <=== and add your Henry rifles to our community's total .... also take a look and enter our current contest at this link ===> http://henryrifleforums.com/viewtopic.p ... 3&start=20

as a bit of info on Nosler's 45-70 300 gr Ballistic Silvertips .... Shooter's Pro Shop has some sort of agreement with Nosler to market their blemished and factory overrun products .... they have a clearance sale going on 45-70 300 gr Ballistic Silvertips .... $15.45 for 50 .... I've fired hundreds of them and their is no difference in the performance, I have no reservations about loading them in hunting ammo .... the blemish is in the black color of the finish and is usually so minor that I can't find it .... you can check them out at this link ===> http://www.shootersproshop.com/nosler-p ... -50ct.html

SPS is a good outfit .... over the last year I've ordered over a 1,000 from them and have 150 more on the way .... their shipping charge of $13 per order (regardless of size) motivates me to order as many as possible .... the only down side is they don't seem to be in any hurry to ship so it takes a while for the orders to get here .... save me enough $$$$ and I can put up with a few days in receiving an order
