Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

Hello to all..
I will be picking up my first Henry(H009B) on the 8th. I will be reloading the 30-30 rounds. I would like to hear from folks that have found a good recipe. This rifle will be the 30th (and last, or so my Wife says) firearm in the safe. I figured I would make #30 a 30-30 and have always wanted a Henry. Really looking forward to getting it home.

Best logic I’ve heard in years, well done!
Welcome from cold snowy Eastern Washington from a guy who every January looks at AZ for a winter destination. Sadly just looking…

Welcome from So-Cal to the Henry clan. Here's a load you can try: 150-170gr FN with 33.0-34.0gr Win 748 powder. Use a magnum primer if you have them. In my mod 94, this is a GOOD load. Again, welcome.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Re: Hello from AZ
first, welcome to our forum .... delighted to have you join us .... since the mid 1960's our 30-30 load has been 47gr of IMR 4320 pushing 150 gr Winchester Silvertips .... once Winchester we switched to their 170 gr Ballistic Silvertips .... the best place I've found to buy them is from Shooter's Pro Shop https://www.shootersproshop.com/ when they have them in stock

If you can remember how many guns you have you probably don't have enough. Enjoy your 30-30.
