Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry
Hello from Iowa
Hello from Iowa
Hey all,
I have been the proud owner of a Henry Big Boy .44 Mag for 10 days and it has already resulted in a 9 point buck hanging in my garage from Iowa's second gun season just 3 days ago. I would like to take credit for that but it was my son who harvested that one with a beautiful 20 yard heart shot. (I did teach him to shoot!!!! )
This is my first true lever action (not counting my Ithica falling block .22) and it is an absolute joy to shoot.
Looks like I will need to work on my brass polishing skills or just live with a "brushed" look as the days carrying this in the snow with wet gloves were not nice to the finish.
Nice to be here and look forward to applying the wealth of experience here!!
Jake

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
