Welcome from Western North Carolina. I used to live in the Chicago suburbs ( 20 years ), and spent a lot of time up in Michigan.Door county and Sleeping Bear Dunes up in Lelanau county. Very nice....except for winter!

Sleeping Bear Dunes is Michigan. Used to stay on Glen Lake.

Welcome from mainland Michigan. I too am waiting for my new 357 rifle. We get a lot of lake effect snow...do you? Do you have ferry service all year?

Lots of lake effect snow, and there are 3 more planned boat trips....weather permitting. It's always laid up the week before Christmas.
