Bacon Wrapped Burger Dogs

Post by JEBar » Wed Oct 07, 2020 6:55 pm

we tried these Bacon Wrapped Burger Dogs today ====> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9vceb3N5EY and they ain't bad at all .... the BBQ Pit Boys' really do come up with some good recipes .... getting the hotdog wrapped up in the hamburger does take a bit of practice .... ours proved to be a bit too thick for a bun so we split them as shown .... we plan to introduce them to our camping club in November

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

That would make me very happy but afraid to say that my VA doc would be really upset with me. He just increased my Cholesterol pills to 80 mg. from 40mg.

That looks great. Meat on meat, what’s better than that.

We have a local drive-inn called The Clayton Drive-inn that offers the “Clayton Burger”. Not a burger wrapped hot dog but close. Two patties, grilled hotdog split, bacon and all the typical other goodies. It’s a monster.

Just scrolled back up to your pictures and had another hunger pang. Split on a hoagie sounds wonderful.

our family most certainly does .... by the way, when using bacon as a wrap for something being grilled, we've found it best to use thin bacon

we used Hoagie Buns .... fixed them again tonight .... lesson learned, to get the bacon thoroughly cooked, use a single wrap of thin (I say again THIN) bacon .... pictures below, put on the Traveler smoker, at 30 min, at 1 hr, at 1 hr 15 min, done, served
