Cheesy Pigs In A Blanket

Post by JEBar » Mon Jun 01, 2020 3:53 pm

I got the idea from page 19 of John Wayne Way To Grill Cookbook ===> https://www.amazon.com/Official-John-Wa ... 182&sr=8-1 ....

Provisions listed in the book /\ our mods

1 (8oz ) tube of crescent rolls

8 hot dogs, cut into 1/3rds /\ we used Lit'l Smokies

1/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack Cheese /\ we used shredded mild cheddar

Parmesan cheese

Garlic Salt

---------------------------------

we added

a squirt of Sweet Baby Ray Hickory and Brown Sugar BBQ sauce on the dough prior to rolling it around the Lit'l Smoky

wrapped in a half slice of thin bacon

held in place by a single toothpick

----------------------------------

Traveler smoker set to 350 .... after 15 min turn them over ... at 30 minutes they were done

they turned out to be pretty dang good .... we will fix them again

Love the variety on an old standard. Excellent back yard/camping fare.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.
