My Mother is the type that says she hates something, even if she has never tried it, just because of what it is, or the way it sounds.
Hope ya'll aren't amongst that group. :?
I have learned to at least try something that is edible and potentially nutritious. I must admit though, I have not tried, nor will I ever indulge in chicken feet. I won't eat anything that has been running around in dung all it's life, short as that may be. :)

I use only Hickory and Mesquite. Either one of those I like. I have used Apple and a few others. Apple does a good job with pork. But Im not to fond of it with any of the other meats.
With 3.5k apple trees apple is about all burn in my offset.
I love it with lamb

as noted above, we did order a smaller Cast Iron Oyster Grill Pan with 6 cups (for lack of a better term) ====> https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MR ... UTF8&psc=1 .... interesting to read that it can also be used to cook corn bread, drop biscuits, single serving mac 'n' cheese and such
new, smaller pan arrived a few days ago .... in the link above, Amazon list it dimensions as 12.5" x 8.5" .... as can be seen below, the length measurement does not include the handles .... a fact which may impact how it will fit the grill, oven, stove on which it is expected to be used .... it is indeed heavy duty which should assist in an even dispersion of heat .... we have two seafood meals on tap where oysters will be prepared ... our larger oyster pan will most likely be required for one on Nov 10th and the smaller will probably be sufficient for one on the 13th

for home use we have an Outset Cast Iron Grill Pan with 12 Oyster Slots... ours can be seen in the first thee pictures, the last two are promotional pictures .... being cast iron it is heavy and heavy duty .... it is too large to use with the grill we use at home and on the road .... at home we use it in the oven and while traveling we can use it with or 3 burner camping stove .... we've used it to cook oysters in the shell, on the half shell and shelled .... we are ordering a smaller one to use with our camping grill
Oysters...bring em on!! Don't even have to cook them for me... :D
Oh yeah, on the half shell.
Couple dozen right now. :lol:

If you have not already, then try this;
Oyster Shooter:
One stove pipe shot glass. Wet rim with lime, turn upside down in Bay's seasoning, put in raw oyster, put a good amount of Absolute Pepper vodka in, and then top it off with Zing Zang Bloody Mary mix!....gooood!
