No. My son and I have used the Bradley system for some time now. Always open to new ideas.

this smoker tube makes sense to me .... it can turn any grill into a smoker .... it can be used for cold or hot smoking ....I like the 4 hr burn time .... here is a link to what appears to be of very similar construction at a lower cost

You can do the same thing by shaping a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil into a 'trough' shape, filling it with pellets and starting the grill, or laying the foil flat on the bottom grate and sprinkling a handful of pellets on it. Control the smoke rate by spritzing with apple juice or water. When done leave overnight to cool and simply gather up the foil with the pellet ash in it, fold inside itself and toss in the trash - no 'Tube' to buy and no ash to clean up that will undoubtedly fall through the holes in the tube's expanded metal. You could also buy a stack of the pre shaped aluminum baking pans for a buck a stack at the dollar store for the same effect.

as one can tell from the first picture, we have been using a Smoke Daddy smoke generator ===> https://smokedaddyinc.com/product/8-inc ... generator/ <=== with our Holland Companion grill for a long time ..... until receiving a heads-up from a long time friend, I didn't realize they offer tube smokers ===> https://smokedaddyinc.com/product/12-bb ... be-smoker/ <=== or a smoke ring cold smoker ===> [urlhttps://smokedaddyinc.com/product/the-pellet-pro-smoke-ring-cold-smoker/][/url] <=== based on years of use of their products, if/when I am in the market for such items, I'd be hard pressed not to order their smokers

I spent several hours today testing a 12" BBQ Tube Smoker from Smoke Daddy ===> https://www.amazon.com/Smoker-Smoke-Dad ... moke+daddy <=== and their New Smoke Ring ===> https://www.amazon.com/Pellet-Smoke-Smo ... moke+daddy <=== .... having dealt with Smoke Daddy for many years, it came as no surprise that they both perform as advertised ....

bottom line #1 === if it will work with the grill/smoker I'm using, my first choice would be the ring .... it can go longer on a load of pellets .... it the ashes stay in the ring

bottom line #2 === neither can be placed near the smoker/grill's burner .... doing so will set the pellets on fire which burns the pellets without much smoke .... if placed where fat drippings fall on the generator, a flame up can result

the ring takes up less space so I will use it with smaller grills .... exactly how they will be used with our various smokers and grills has yet to be determined

well, I still have confidence in Smoke Daddy's cold smokers but have lost all faith in their BBQ Tube and Smoke Ring .... guess I have been spoiled by the performance of their cold smoker used with our Holland Companion (shown below) .... the Tube and Ring simply do not produce the volume of smoke, are inconsistent in burning pellets, and have to be relighted way too often .... for me, they have been money wasted and after several attempts, they simply don't live up to their billing

after thinking about it for a while, viewing multiple YouTube videos, I've placed an order for a large Smoke Daddy which I'll mount on the new smoker .... over the years I've built several "pig cookers" capable of BBQ'ing whole hogs .... the largest could handle up to 3 180+ lb hogs .... I sold the last one a year ago and every once in a while the thought of building a new one does cross my mind .... if it happens, I'll already have the smoker to use with it .... like I said, should have done that to start with

our large Smoke Daddy came with a spring that aids air flow (first picture) .... our original smaller Smoke Daddy didn't .... as a test, I picked up a spring at Ace and cut it to fit our smaller one (rest of the pictures) .... I'm looking forward to seeing how well it works
