Im reading about charcoal wood pellets in this grill. Some people say they are a game changer. I told my neighbor about this grill tonight and his wife ordered him one with the griddle and cover. they also ordered some of the Koni wood pellets which are some pellets made for this grill I heard about. Available on Amazon and they come in a variety pack for 36.00.

About a month ago our neighbors ordered 2 by mistake. We took one so they didnt need to send it back via Amazon. Ours doesnt have the built in thermo. But that really didnt matter to me. They bought their's after I was telling them about what you have done with yours. Also my viewing people using them on youtube. Another good channel is Cooking with CJ. So far we like ours real well and have been using it quite regular. Tomorrow some of my wifes kids will be here. We are doing a whole pork loin. It should be fun. Ours as well will go to Texas this year instead of what we have been using

I've used the built in thermometer but still prefer one of Maureen's hand held temp probes .... looking forward to your continued reports

that really does look good .... nice to hear yours is working out .... will you take it along when traveling :?:

we've found that the Ninja's OEM thermometer is inaccurate at best .... of all its many features, its thermometer is the only one not worth using .... yesterday we used it to grill/smoke Hawaiian Chicken from HyVee .... at the point Maureen's portable thermometer showed the chicken was done, it showed 20+ degrees from being done .... note that much of the black appearance is from smoking .... these chicken breast were seasoned with pineapple and stuffed with ham .... we plan to personalize this chicken and prepare it again

The black item in the pork is our thermometer. Its a Thermo Pro temp spike. Its sync to my phone. I dont need to lift the lid at all. It sends the current meat temp to my phone and I can set alarms as to its temp. It works great. Last week Dooly used chicken tenders and battered them with panko break crumbs and parm cheese. Best chicken strips I have had in a while. Air fryer done in about 15 min. Yes ours will be going to Texas this year in place of the smoker.
